Corrective solutions in Servomotors
Overcurrent faults.
This problem usually occurs when the servomotors exceed the maximum limit of their current capacity.Failure can occur with some misaligned screw or other mechanical problems. At other times it may be a warning signal indicating that the servomotor needs general maintenance.
Corrective solution.
Check the adjustment of the ball screw, also check the mechanical movements in line after the servomotor has been repaired.
Feedback errors.
The Tachometer, encoder or resolver can present a signal loss in the servomotor. This fault can generate position errors, out of control conditions or even change the direction of the servomotor.
Corrective solution.
Confirm that the input commands are correct. Many times even when the servomotor was repaired it is important to check that the electrical connections and cables are clean and in good condition.
Position problems.
These problems are caused by mechanical failures or feedback signals. Some symptoms may vary, including inaccurate readings and out-of-control conditions.
Corrective solution.
Check all mechanical movements and adjustments to make sure that all electrical connections are safe, and you can also check the operation of the amplifier.
Overheating and odor in the unit.
One of the most common problems in servo motors when they are constantly exposed to excessive amounts of oil or refrigerant spray. When this happens the stator of the servomotor can become contaminated, the armature or the reaction unit are affected.
Corrective solution.
Check and clean the motor brushes, in older units it is necessary to carry out a reconstruction to eliminate the accumulation of carbon and to change the worn bearings. Also move the unit to a clean place and even make a cage to protect it from splashing oil.Our customers recommend us
